This ministry was given birth to by the Lord Jesus in my heart while studying in Minnesota back in 1978-80. I was not a Christian then but I knew this was a very special dream because I experienced such joy and excitement for a full year after having the dream. The dream showed a large home in the country where women came and stayed for a while to get help. It offered various activities that people could take part in and be encouraged. A cook, a handyman and other staff worked there. It had a big garden.
I came to know the Lord personally at age 29 after cancer surgery and from that point on, He led me through various circumstances that were very much in line with this dream. I attended Bible school and felt strongly led to go to Turning Point Girl’s Home in Ridgeway, Ontario, Canada, for my internship. In the third year of my schooling, I heard about a new home for women that had been opened in Montreal, Canada, my hometown. I felt a strong urge to apply there and in December 1989, I was hired as the night staff person. I remained there for five and a half years and felt that this place was like a second home to me. I left there to marry an American and move to the States.
After having been in North Carolina for a short while, we came to Tennessee and my husband began working at Bible Pathway Ministries. Every year, I went home for a long visit and in September 1996, while home, I visited some friends who were opening a drug and alcohol rehab center in their home. That’s where the Lord revealed to me a glimpse of what He wanted to do here in Murfreesboro. Since then, He has provided an abundance of material blessings in preparation for this ministry including this web site. Praise His name! He also made it possible for us to have business/prayer cards made for a very reasonable price, enabling us to promote the ministry more effectively.
